Mitiska REIM the new owner of Europa Centralna.

The previous owner of Europa Centralna, Sierra Balmain, is an independent consulting company operating on the commercial property market in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. The company boasts 20 years of experience. During this time, the company has participated in many key transactions on the commercial real estate market and has taken part in significant expansion or remodelling processes. "In line with our long-term strategy - we have found a solution that will provide liquidity for a complex transaction in a demanding sector. We continue to see great potential in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe and are analysing further investment opportunities," said Ola Mazzini, COO of Sierra Balmain.

For its strategy of repositioning Central Europe as the region's largest leisure centre, Sierra Balmain received the PRCH Retail Awards Gold Award in the category Image Campaign of the Year 2022.

The new owner of Central Europe, Mitiska REIM, is a Belgian investment fund specialising in in European convenience real estate, focusing mainly on retail parks, logistics and mutli-let industrial facilities. It has now expanded its portfolio to include the Gliwice centre. The transaction cloed on 29 March 2023. Mitiska REIM plans to reposition the existing property as a diversified mixed-use convenience facility, including a retail park with food and beverage facilities, leisure facilities and urban logistics units.
