Galeria Pomorska Under New Management: New Brands, Amenities and Initiatives

Galeria Pomorska, one of the most recognizable shopping centers in Bydgoszcz, was taken over in April this year by Sierra Balmain Property Management, one of the leading commercial real estate advisory firm in Poland. The new management will gradually introduce changes that aim to respond to trends and meet the expectations of Bydgoszcz residents.

New fashion brands, entertainment concepts, dining options, customer amenities, and trend-aligned marketing campaigns are just some elements of the current development strategy for the mall. Sierra Balmain is managing Galeria Pomorska with a focus on further aligning its offerings with the needs of the local community.

New Tenants

The starting point for these changes was research conducted by Sierra Balmain among Galeria Pomorska customers, in collaboration with Marketside. The goal was to thoroughly understand the local community's expectations regarding the development of this popular Bydgoszcz shopping center. Analysis of the survey allowed for the identification of the most desired brands and concepts of mall customers, leading to appropriate actions being taken.

“Our long-term goal is to create a diverse tenant mix based on well-known brands. Future plans include both the development of established brands and the introduction of entirely new ones. Customers can already see the results of this strategy” - says Agata Stańkowska, Head of Leasing at Sierra Balmain.

Recently, the mall celebrated remodeling of the popular international chain C&A and the expansion of the fashion brand Monnari, offering an enhanced shopping experience. Moreover the renovation of the CCC store now provides customers with access to one of the largest shoe chains in a sleek, modern concept. In the coming months, even more updates are planned. undergoing a stylish makeover.

4F sports brand store is set to expand and modernize. Additionally, we can reveal that we are expanding the food court offerings. Later this year, we plan to unveil a new Asian cuisine restaurant, Yaki Maki, owned by the proprietors of the popular Bydgoszcz restaurant Sushi Garden. These are the next steps in our journey to building a strong tenant mix from various industries under the gallery's roof” - adds the leasing director.

A particularly strong enhancement of Galeria Pomorska's fashion offer is the addition of Half-Price. One of the top off-price store chains, offering premium products at lower prices, opened for customers in Galeria Pomorska in August.

Revamped Marketing

The current strategy also includes the implementation of new concepts, while not abandoning the mall's unique formats, which have already become a permanent part of the local event calendar.

We want Galeria Pomorska to be a place that offers residents interesting projects and leisure activities. That's why we've started implementing events that align with the values of the local community and current trends. Among them will be fashion fairs based on the less waste idea, eco-friendly initiatives supporting the second life of products, and events featuring popular influencers and interesting personalities. At the same time, the most popular events that have become the mall's trademark, such as bike rallies and ‘Woman in the Gallery’ workshops, will continue. We will work to strengthen their popularity” - says Anita Mieszkowska, Marketing Manager at Sierra Balmain.

High Standards

The new management has already introduced several amenities aimed at improving the comfort of customers who visit the center daily. Many of these concern families with children. A mini playground has been opened in the mall's passage, the food court has been equipped with children's chairs and microwaves to heat meals. Additionally, extra play corners for young children have been set up near the dining area. The mall also features an information point with a cloakroom, providing an extra layer of customer service. Visitors can purchase gift cards, redeem loyalty program rewards, or get information about upcoming events at this convenient hub.
